WORD PRESS INSTALLATION

Once you have received your login details proceed to login.

The front end of the login page should look something like this below

Put in your cpanel username and password as stated exactly in the email you received

If you successfully login then you should enter next into your cpanel dashboard [image below]. This is your main website control room.

However, as a beginner you would not be doing much here [ because we would install a more friendly environment that we can work with]. Anyway just scroll down to the section called Softaculous Apps Installer. Under Scripts click on WordPress [image below], it is usually the first among scripts.

That should take you to a section that looks like this [image below]. This will enable you install WordPress which is the friendly environment to help you build your blog.

Click on the Install Now button

We would now proceed to a few minor WordPress settings before final installation

In the image above leave settings as they are if you going to install WordPress as the main website.

Next is website settings look below. You can simply write the name of your website and description.

Next is the Admin Account. Simply choose a username and password you can remember and try to make your password as hard a possible for security reasons.

Last on settings here is Loginizer. For even more security tick on limit login attempts. Note: This option might not be found in all cpanels.

After scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on the INSTALL button.

You may choose to fill in the email but even if you don’t it would use the default email of your account.

Installation should now begin

If everything goes well you should see a message like this below

Use the Administrative URL to login into your WordPress Dashboard. Now your website should have its own Administrative URL so don’t use the one in the image.

A typical example of a WordPress login admin link normally looks like this www.”YOUR WEBSITE NAME”.com/WP-ADMIN or www.”YOUR WEBSITE NAME”.com/ADMIN

The Administrative link should take you to the platform that looks like this [image below]

I then login with the details I use in the Admin site settings [see image]

If you have successfully reached the image below then start celebrating because from here everything is so easy. CONGRATULATIONS! You are now looking at the WORDPRESS DASHBOARD!

From here we go into the main building of our blog! Go take a bottle of coke and smile there are no limits to what you can do from here and nothing can stop you.
